About Us

World Wide Travel One Agency Group is one of Canada's largest privately-owned, full-service travel agencies.

We offer outstanding service through leisure travel retail locations, business travel centres and online reservation sites. We serve business and leisure travellers in English, French and Spanish, with most offices offering additional multi language service.

We are proud to have recently celebrated our 50th Anniversary in providing travel services to both corporate and leisure clients throughout Canada.

Our History

World Wide Travel One was established on September 1, 1960 in the City of Timmins, Ontario, where we still operate a retail store today. We were founded by the sponsorship of Trans Canada Airlines (now Air Canada) and British Overseas Airline Corporation (now British Airways) in an effort to bring a higher level of professional client based travel services to clients for North America and International travel. When we began, an airline ticket often took a travel agent an entire day to research and then had to hand write the ticket and wait for final confirmation by overnight telex machines from the individual airline carrier. How time has changed our business.

We now have multiple locations in Ontario, where we issue clients thousands of airline tickets a week, in minutes, no longer days, and send the airline tickets electronically in a state of the art delivery system. We're well positioned for the next 50 years of growth based on remembering our roots and our corporate focus on ensuring customers receive the best experience in the travel industry.

First Nation Programs

World Wide Travel One is proud to support 1st Nation Communities in Canada with special and exclusive travel service agreements. Our relationship with 1st Nation communities, bands and corporations date back to the early days of travel in Canada and we are proud today to count 1st Nation individuals as some of our longest term clients in Canada.

In Our Local Communities

We support many local organizations, charities, sports teams and religious groups through a program of free travel, cash donations and employee volunteer time. We are pleased that this support dates back to our inception on September 1, 1960 when we first began assisting immigrants to Canada through our donations and assistance in travel plans and requirements to return home.

Christmas Card Program

We were one of the first travel agency groups in Canada to do “cardless mailing” and use the funds normally budgeted for Christmas Card Program to allow us to provide cash donations to some of Canada’s top children hospitals and trauma centres in various locations in Canada. We continue this program to this date and are happy to announce that we have donated thousands of dollars to these various hospitals.

Environmental Success

We have made a commitment to ensure that our agency group is a true friend to the environment in our day to day operation. We have numerous programs that allow our employees to participate in helping the environment through a recycle program, paperless documents, electronic storage and other practices available to the travel industry community. World Wide Travel One assists our corporate clients in providing regular carbon reporting to allow them to donate to various environmental groups based on their carbon impact in Canada and around the world.

Charitable Requests

World Wide Travel One receives hundreds of charitable requests each year and we attempt to provide assistance where we can. We have a set of guidelines that each request must follow and these guidelines help us determine where we can lend support.
